Believe it or Not!
This is only 2, maybe 3 plants that covered a huge area more
than 40x30.. They Mowed down everything in their path
when I wasn't watching! Covered the entire back garden
and filled half the barn yard! I should have listened and
trimmed them to only one or two gourds.... We got 50
Gourds about the size of basket balls with several even
larger. It is not unusual for them to grow to over the size
of one bushel, especially if you trim them to one fruit per
plant. Slate gray gourds make excellent baskets when
dried, as their shells are stronger than other gourds tend
to be. Can be used for storage..lots of things! Also good
for NESTS for HENS!!
